Should I contact a consolidate credit company?
I was laid of from my job a few months ago and have recently found a new one. Unfortunately I am a full-time student, and am constantly living paycheck to paycheck, so going three months without a job really put me behind. Now I am over my head in bills, and I can’t seem to get caught up. I have about $2,500 in debt (credit card bills), and I am wondering if I should contact a credit solutions company. Are these free services? Do I have to pay anything? How do those companies work?

Thanks for any advice.

Talk to CCCS, they are free service and they will neogiate the interest rate for you, and you pay them to monthly payment and they will distribute the money to each credit card company.

You don’t need to consolidation service, because it will ruining your credit for long time. They asked you to stop making payments, but they charge you and you make payment each month, when they have lump some to pay off one creditor one at a time.

The best way is to call customer service for each credit card company and ask them for the specialist to help you out on the situation. Sometimes, they can lower your interest and make a paymetn plan with you. But you might have no credit card to use for a while.

CCCS is not a free service but a non-profit organization. Their consoling service is free but you will have to pay for their other services (debt management, etc.).

There are legitimate credit counseling organizations that cost you little or nothing.

Companies that claim that you have the right to settle are all scams. There is no right to settle and California investigated them for having their employees spend all their time signing up additional customers and not do anything for the existing customers.

Save yourself the money and call the hardship department of each credit card company. I wish I would have known this before I spend $$$ with the debt solution company. Now that I work for a major credit card company I know they will work with everyone!
